YMCA of San Angelo is proud to be part of the Prime, Peer-Fit, Renew Active, and Silver Sneakers networks.


SilverSneakers® is a preventative exercise program that enhances the quality of life for mature adults across the country. One of the largest senior-focused exercise programs in the United States, this partnership allows Medicare-eligible members of these health plans to participate in YMCA programs at no additional cost. Prime Membership at the Y

Designed specifically with you in mind (ages 18-64 years), Prime was created to improve your well-being and lifestyle while helping you look and feel great. Prime includes a free basic membership. This program will inspire you to take charge of your own health and fitness by providing you the resources you need to stay motivated and active. 

This is a benefit offered by employers and/or your health plan. To find out if you are eligible and the cost, contact your employer.

Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare

A fitness program to help you live your best life. Renew Active™ from UnitedHealthcare is available with select Medicare Advantage plans. Designed around you and your goals, Renew Active offers access to participating fitness locations or YMCAs with local and national options. Group fitness classes along with online brain exercises can help keep both your body and your mind active — all at no additional cost. If you have questions about the program, please call the Customer Service number printed on the back of your health plan ID card.


Peerfit has committed to redefining wellness by giving access to various personalized wellness experiences all under one account. A gym membership is a monthly credit subscription that gives you access to a gym’s facilities and classes throughout the month. Peerfitters pay a set number of credits each month on the 1st of the month. Cost is pro-rated based on when the membership is purchased.
